@SVP Why are we going gaga over touch screen enabled AV systems in 4 wheelers when we know that it distrcts the driver more than any other equipment including speaking on phone while driving. My thoughts are - touch screen gives the user more options, but to select those the driver has to take his eyes off the road which means distrcted driving posing a great threat to self and otehr road users. Further, the technology available to aircraft has been on leaps and bounds, but still they do not use any equipment on baord with touch capabilities and even if they do, the options are one or two at the most.
