Hi Siddharth, I live in Bangalore and looking to buy a new car. My budget is 13-14 L and that’s a stretch. I love the following cars but need help in finalising one. Vento 1.2TSI Comfortline Vento 1.5 D Comfortline Rapid 1.5 D Ambition Ecosport 1.5 D Titanium All the cars are between 13 to 13.5L on road bangalore. My daily commute is 30 Kms with may be 4 long trips in a year. My initial thought was to look for a compact suv but didn’t find them to be value for money because they didn’t come with good features within the budget. I have come to the last 4. I like all the cars mentioned above and in some ways think that though my daily commute is not high if I spent more than 10L why settle for petrol engine. But the vento tsi comes with dsg and couldn’t get off the list. Good drivability, mileage, comfort and reliability are top priorities. Please help me make the final decision. Also, please let me know if I should wait a little longer for facelifts, festive offers etc. Thank you…

Hello Deepak,

For your level of use, it is advisable for choose a diesel car - especially since Bangalore traffic can get quite nasty. That said, for the same reason (traffic), an automatic would be well advised. This is why I would choose between the Vento TSI and the Skoda Rapid Diesel. Both cars are pretty much similar in terms of maintenance.
