My Car Maruti’s Baleno (petrol) engine failed after 11000 KMS.Engine connecting rod bend and broken. They told this will happen only when water goes inside engine and hydrolock happen. Atcually there is no evidence of water inside engine and even car never driven in water clogged area. They have explained one theory. May be u have driven car in water clogged area in past and water goes inside engine through air filter. Only small portion of water will enter inside engine and goes out though exhaust. Due to that connecting rod gets minor bend. It will not affect the engine performance or sound. There is no issue if you drive car city area but after a interval when u drive car on highway at high speed, this rod may bend further and after that it brakes. They told in my case the same thing thing happen. They have given photograph of carbon deposition inside cyl wall. In one cly block lining is more and other three it is normal. It means rod is already bend earlier and than after periodic interval it is breakdown. All services and oils replaced as per schedule at authorised center. I have never heard this. Please suggest above engine failure theory is possible. Car is under warranty and they have refused to consider under warranty.
