Hi, I am planning to buy a scooty as I am not confident enough with bikes with gears & clutch. I am okay with latest activa 3g, Jupiter Millionr, Dio. But then soon I saw Honada Navi which looks exactly as a sports bike with gearless and automatic transmission which is similar to scooty segments. I hope it will be cool to have Navi rather than the scooty I mentioned. I am okay with fuel efficiency of 60 & above and speed of 85 & above as in any scooty. Please let me know your suggestion as what shoudl I buy; Navi or any scooty? You may enlighten your thought on pros & cons of both (pickup, mileage, pillion carrier, comfortability, long term run etc). Do you think Navi is similar with general bikes only in look or is it exactly same as bike and not similar to scooty? Or is it exactly similar to scooty in terms of rides? Soory, but I am confused a bit so want to know your thoughts

Question asked from: http://www.carandbike.com/honda-bikes/navi

The Honda Navi shares the engine with the Activa, and is a tried and tested engine. But it’s lighter than the Activa, so feels peppier and with its wide, motorcycle-like handlebar, performs quite well. We suggest you take a close look at the Navi and also a test ride before coming to the decision.

Thanks a lot, Preeetam. I have visited some showrooms and just found that Navi is a good bike but unfortunately I feel that it’s bit small in height and thus has changed my mind to take a latest scooty. Can you just compare and help me in deciding the top 3 scooties in my selection list, i.e, Maestro edge, Jupiter millionr, activa 3g/125. Also, just let me know, will there be much diferrence in terms of 125cc activa or activa/jupiter/maestro of 110 cc?

I commute to office daily on good roads, with just little bumps & damaged roads. You may also shadow your views on long drive/long run with any of the scooty, say 300 kms continuous run soemtimes in a weekends.

If you’re planning to do long distance riding, then you should certainly consider the 125cc scooters. Both Honda Activa 125 as well as Suzuki Access 125 offer very good options. The difference in the 125cc scooter is marginally more power, and this is evident when you have a pillion on board and climbing flyovers or a road with an incline. The extra power does help.
